Privacy Policy & Medical Disclaimer

What we collect when you contact us through this website or WhatsApp, how it is used, who sees it, and your rights. Also the limits of the medical information on this site.

Who we are

This policy was last updated on 12 October 2026. It applies to this website and to messages you send us through it.

This website belongs to Dr. Sanjit Gogoi, General and Minimal Access (Laparoscopic) Surgeon, registered with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC Reg. No. 96096). Dr. Sanjit consults at SPARSH Hospital, Sarjapur Road, in Carmelaram and at his evening clinic in Doddakannelli, Bangalore. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Dr. Sanjit and his clinic team.

What we collect

When you use the booking form or message us on WhatsApp or by phone, we collect what you choose to share, usually:

  • your name and phone number
  • your health concern, in your own words
  • your nearest area in Bangalore, so we can suggest the more convenient location
  • any reports or scans you decide to send

Health information is sensitive, so please share only what is needed to arrange your consultation. When you browse the site, basic technical information such as your browser type, device and the pages you visit may also be collected through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

How we use your information

We use your details only to reply to you, arrange your appointment, tell you which consultation you need, and follow up on your care. We do not use them for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell them.

By submitting the form or messaging us, you consent to us using your details for these purposes. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see your rights below).

Who we share it with

Your information is never sold or rented. We share it only:

  • with the hospital or clinic team, where needed to arrange your visit, tests or surgery
  • with service providers that make this website and messaging work, such as website hosting, WhatsApp and Google, who process data on our behalf
  • when the law requires it, for example on a valid request from a government authority

Storage and retention

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to respond to you and arrange your care, and longer only where medical record-keeping rules or other laws require it. Enquiries that do not lead to a visit are deleted after a reasonable period.

Your hospital records, including any surgery, are held by the hospital under its own policies. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no transmission over the internet can be made completely secure.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site, and Google Ads conversion measurement to see whether our advertisements lead to enquiries. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and do not tell us who you are.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics. The site will still work if you do.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated
  • have your data erased when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it
  • withdraw your consent at any time
  • have a grievance addressed, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf

To use any of these rights, message or call us on WhatsApp at +91 99160 26256. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India. If you are booking for someone under 18, a parent or guardian should contact us on their behalf.
